A diesel mechanic by trade, Alan has an extensive forestry career spanning 30 years. He has a special interest in tall tower,
difficult terrain logging and rigging with many years spent cable harvesting in Gisborne and the East Coast.
Since becoming an approved Auditor for the Safetree certification program, work has taken him from Cape Reinga to Bluff assisting contractors and their
crews to work towards, and then receiving, their certifications.
